"RUSNANO provides us with very active help – through this help we managed to achieve a major progress in one of the innovative areas of institute activities, that is creation of detectors for explosives and drugs based on labeled neutrons method. Beside of ROSNANO and JINR the Detectors for Explosives and Drugs, LLC located in Dubna is a participant of this project. The device created in JINR allows for determination of materials composition by the spectrum of gamma-rays emitted on neutron impact and by recoil neutrons. The system can recognize up to 30 types of explosives. Recognition is automatic and does not require any participation from the operator; probability of explosive recognition is up to 98%. Detectors of this type will be specifically utilized in Moscow metro."
