22.12.2014The testing of liquid explosives detector, developed by "Neutron technologies", LLC has successfully passed at the Vnukovo airport (Moscow). Main feature of the detector - a completely sealed biological shielding, which provides full radiation safety of passengers and allows to use the detector directly into the departure zone. Detector allows to define all types of liquid explosives and flammable substances, prohibited to bring in hand luggage. The ban on bringing liquids on the plane in the hand luggage of passengers is linked with the fact that the conventional X-ray scanners are not capable to detect the liquid explosives. Detectors on fast tagged neutrons successfully cope with this task. ![]() |
