This year the V.P. Dzhelepov Prize for outstanding achievements in experimental and theoretical research on solution of applied problems using nuclear-physics methods was awarded to V.M. Bystritsky, V.G. Kadyshevsky, and M.G. Sapozhnikov for a series of works “Application of nuclear-physics methods to identification of complex chemical substances”.
To our deep regret, Vladimir Georgievich Kadyshevsky, who had initiated and always effectively supported the investigations into the uses of the tagged neutron method, passed away two days before the awarding ceremony at the session of the JINR Scientific Council.
